Urgent help needed it is only a 3 minute effort to call and help stop human trafficking
Please- Urgent-
help needed!!!!! It often seems as if human trafficking happens far away
from where we live but this is not true just today there was a local
news story about a local(Phila) human trafficking case.
If you have three minutes today or early Monday morning and are willing to make two phone calls, you could help make a huge leap in the fight against human trafficking.
Please make two phone calls by Monday. Ask:
PA House Speaker Sam Smith, 717-787-3845 and
PA House Majority Leader Mike Turzai, 717-772-9943
to bring the Human Trafficking Hotline Posting bill (HB235) to a floor vote.
(This would require certain businesses to post the hotline # so victims of human trafficking and tipsters can call for help.) I called this morning; it was easy and painless and it might make life literally more easy and painless for a lot of victims.
This bill has been in the works for three years. If it goes up for a floor vote on Monday, it will probably pass. If it doesn't go up, we could end up starting all over again next year. Numerous calls to these to guys is what is needed.-info came from Carol Hart Metzker author of Facing The Monster, How One person Can End Child Slavery.
Thank you very much for your help. Please if you would forward to others who can also call that would be a big help too.

NEW
Before I go off to paint today I find my self drifting in wonder at the soft autumn light on the curling bark of the large birch tree which makes me totally forget my words that I planned to write you. Something about the school bus emptying my house I think. I am extremely grateful for all the art opportunities I have now and coming as well as some tremendous press I got. Upcoming is , County Press of Newtown Square on my show of brand new painting series at Newtown Square Library all this month. I am one of the featured artists in the new issue of Fig Magazine of West Chester see the Art Issue here Fig Magazine West Chester Art Issue Sept 2012. Also, I will be featured in and article by Carol Hart Metzker in the Women's Journal regarding a waterlily painting I donated for a worthy cause-ending child slavery. Wonderful blessings all.
